Una chica, Nanami, que se encuentra en la calle y sin casa cuando su padre la abandona. Al final acaba en casa de un hombre que le ofrece quedarse a vivir con él en un templo shinto. El hombre resulta ser una deidad que acaba de transferir su estatus y su yokai zorro, Tomoe, a Nanami.
